Distinguished guest at the Faculty of Education
We are delighted to announce that from 8 to 10 October, the Department of Preschool and Early School Education at the Faculty of Education, University of Białystok, had the honour of hosting Professor Marija Sablić from Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia.
During her visit, Professor Sablić delivered an open lecture entitled "Revisiting Montessori Pedagogy: New Interpretations for Contemporary Education". The lecture offered a thoughtful reflection on contemporary interpretations of Montessori pedagogy, analysed its significance for theory and practice in preschool and early school education, and explored possibilities for adapting and applying this educational tradition in the context of current challenges facing education.
In addition to her public lecture, Professor Sablić held a series of meetings with academic staff and doctoral students, engaging in valuable discussions about research collaboration and innovative approaches to early childhood education.
