I am so glad to be here in Poland and to be a student at University of Bialystok. I think it's an experience I will never forget in my life. Here, I felt the warmth and friendship of the teachers, classmates and local people. I still remember that when I first came here, my spoken English was not so good, and honestly, sometimes I could not understand a thing. Even though, teachers listened to me patiently and were very helpful in order to improve my language skills. It made me feel respected and I never had to feel ashamed of it. I enjoyed all the courses a lot, meetings with inspiring people and visits to the places such as kindergarten or socio-therapeutic day care centre. Here in Bialystok, I got to know a lot of polish students and students from different countries, felt the enthusiasm of the local people, I learned a lot about local culture which broadened my horizons and worldview. Apart from studying, we were travelling through Poland and to neighboring countries during holidays (Poland is located in the middle of Europe so thanks to its great location it was easy and cheap to travel anywhere I wanted), socializing with local students and participating in other activities organised by the student union. In short, I recommend everyone to come to Poland and study at University of Bialystok. Although it has been only half a year, I have lived a full and happy life here. I am grateful for my choice and the teachers and classmates of the Faculty, who have brought wonderful memories to my life.

My name is Jiachen Feng. I'm from China and I came to Bialystok by a lucky chance with a dozen of my Chinese friends. I've been here for five months and it was one of the best experiences in my life so far. I liked it here very much! The environment is more than good, the Faculty building is modern and new, but what is the most important, the people here are very friendly and open. I liked the teachers and students especially – they all are very enthusiastic and took care of us in and outside the classes. I also like the way of teaching here. Most of the classes were held in the form of workshops and thanks to that all students were active and willingly shared their knowledge and experiences. I am very happy to have the experience of being an exchange student in Bialystok, which is the most precious treasure of my life.

I came to Bialystok, I saw a lot of exotic places, I experienced teacher’s care, friend’s help. Thanks to the people I realized that life is a constant encounter. I liked studying here very much and I learnt many different teaching and learning methods. I finally had spread my own wings and now I can fly across the sky.

I'm from Portugal and I did ERASMUS in this university only one semester. I can say to future ERASMUS students that this university is very good! If they choose to come to Bialystok, I'm sure that they'll like it as much as I, because teachers, the receiving institution, the classes / subjects, as well as accessibility to the English language, are very good!
Bo Erasmus to: poznawanie obcokrajowców ich kultur i kuchni, pełne przygód podróże, ciągłe doskonalenie siebie i swoich umiejętności interpersonalnych, językowych i zdobywanie wiedzy. Przyjazd tu był jedną z lepszych decyzji w moim życiu i doświadczeniem, którego nie da się opisać w kilku zdaniach. To trzeba po prostu przeżyć!! Zamienić marzenia w plany, być ponad lękiem i działać!!
It has been one of the best experiences of my life. I met friends for life, I'm in my retinas thousands of beautiful landscapes, thousands of sunsets to 3000 km from home. This has made me grow as a person, be more patient, more friendly, more honest, more critical, finally and after, better person. This is running out, and in each farewell we cry like little children, but we also cry for happiness, because we take back with us to wonderful people, that we will not now see every day, but when you come back to see them in a few months, everything will be like before.
My practice in Poland has been an unforgettable experience having shared two months in a school where we have tried as well, and where we have learned many things. Dealing with children has been special, since we only had some words in common. Thanks to this, we have learned to communicate through glances, hugs and smiles, this has been something very special for me. I took all the children in my heart forever, it has been a very special experience for me. Also thanks to my tutor who has treated me great, she has explained to me what they were doing at every moment and I been included in any planned activity. I will always remember with a smile.
This experience has been one of the best things I've lived in my life. I have met people, places, cultures very different. At the beginning I was afraid to go to another country because I had to say goodbye to my family, friends, etc. but now I am very happy to have chosen this option. There are many beautiful experiences that I have lived and also bad experiences; but all these experiences have made me to be a person more independent, mature and higher self-esteem. I have been able to improve my English and learn some Polish words. I have met people of different countries such as Portuguese, Turkish, French, Italian, Polish, all these people will be friends forever.
We have also made many trips to different cities such as Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Riga, Vilnius, Krakow, Warsaw, Gdansk, Ukraine...I'll take home many memories that will be forever. Erasmus is the best thing a student can live. Once Erasmus.... ALWAYS ERASMUS!!
